Prince George city workers reach tentative agreement

PRINCE GEORGE – After more than one year with no collective agreement city workers in Prince George, represented by CUPE 399 and CUPE 1048, have reached a tentative agreement with the City.

Gary Campbell CUPE 399 president and Janet Bigelow CUPE 1048 president both report that they are relieved to have reached a new deal after a very tense round of negotiations.

Details of the agreement will not be released until both parties have ratified the agreement. Both CUPE locals will vote on the agreement tomorrow evening at a special meeting at the Civic Centre at 6 p.m. City Council has not yet announced when it will meet to vote.
