Persons with Disabilities Working Group releases new video

BURNABY—CUPE BC’s persons with disabilities working group has released a new educational video in conjunction with the national union’s campaign on disability awareness rights.

Titled “Ready and Able: Disability rights and the CUPE activist,” the video was produced by Angelina Cantada of Curly Tail Productions in conjunction with Working TV and CUPE Communications. In the video, featured interviews with CUPE activists, officers and staff reveal members’ experiences with disability, explore the union’s pivotal role in improving workplace rights, and offer ideas on how CUPE members can get involved in the fight for equal workplaces.

The video, which had its screen debut at the recent B.C. division convention, can be seen here.
