Hearts out to Haiti

BURNABY —The CUPE BC executive board has unanimously passed a motion to send $15,000 to Oxfam Quebec to help Haiti. CUPE National’s donations have topped $100,000.

CUPE BC encourages every CUPE Local and every CUPE member to help out in this horrific disaster. We have a responsibility as union members and as members of the world community to give what we can at this time of incredible need for the Haitian people.

Please take a moment now to DONATE to the Humanitarian Coalition that includes Oxfam Canada, Oxfam Quebec, Care and Save the Children Canada. Please remember that the amount you pledge as an individual will be matched by the federal government - dollar for dollar. Let’s make a difference.
