Join us at the DOXA Festival and view "The issue of Mr. O'Dell". The film is about a 94-year old local civil rights activist Jack O’Dell, who worked closely with Dr. King in the American Civil Rights Movement before moving to Vancouver, BC. He was labelled the number five Communist in America by President Kennedy, and was forced out of King’s organization after being followed by the FBI. He is a lifelong labour and civil rights activist, and comments on a resurgence of activism today with the Black Lives Matter movement.
